No post as such this week. As i'am away visiting family in Cornwall then a few days away in deepest Devon.  On my return home I hope to get some painting done, got the modelling blues today(Sunday) which when I get the most time to sit and relax at my desk. So I will report then. Please enjoy this photo of my dog Bill instead.

Right it would seem that me writing on a Sunday doesn't actually happen, this  might be because I have so many things to get done through the day that I run out of steam by the evening.  I only managed about an hour of model making and painting this week and being as I'm quite slow at it not much happened. But I do have pictures of what I achieved.  Still working on Ork boy number 10, 1 left from the box to do. Now this Saturday coming I will have something a bit different to show, I have a love of wooden ship models I built one years ago. It was a Billings boats "Will Everard", a Thames barge ship. Didn't look great when finished and its long gone, however a recent bargain on Facebook market place got me a model of Bluenose II. A wonderfully slick looking vessel.  It is still a sailing boat today.  See if I can stick a picture of the real here. I have made a very small start on it but notice I need to steam the two centre pieces flat as they both have some warp...

This week's modelling.

This week I didn't get the opportunity to do loads of model work, but some is better then none. Here's what happened. The next Ork boy is coming along nicely, body and legs are nearly finished with painting. His arms have had a first coat of Warboss green over a primer of Corax white. I use white for lots of priming so I can see the details better, this is a personal thing and it might not be the best colour to use but it works for me. I also managed to apply a water slide decal to the back armour plate of this Ork. So a little information about these Orks while I think of it, These models are produced by Games Workshop for use on tabletop war games. It's a dice roll based game of battles. I don't actually play the games right now as my army is to small in numbers to use, however it is slowly growing. First off this is a iron boyz minus his head. It's easier to paint with it not fitted. these are the next boyz arms after just one coat of paint. Thin coat...

apologies time.

I apologise for there being no blog post yesterday, there's a draft written but it's not finished yet. The pictures need to be edited before I publish it. Sorry.

First Post time.

This my first post into my world of model kit building and painting. I'm not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm slowly improving as I learn different techniques along the way. The kits I build are mostly the injection moulded variety by such manufacturers like Airfix, Tamiya etc. There are also lots of mini figures by Games Workshop, example of which is this little green skin ORK boyz.  Hope you like it? Will try to post each week on Sunday mornings with that week's work. Will see you tomorrow all be well, it all depends if I remember to post.
